Register Your Name in the Voter List Online Using Your National Identity Card Number
Kathmandu — The Election Commission of Nepal has introduced a new system that allows citizens to register their names in the voter list entirely online using their National Identity Card (NID) number.
This service has been launched by integrating the Election Commission’s system with the National Identity Card and Registration Department’s system.
Previously, citizens had to fill out a pre-enrolment form online and then visit the election office to take their biometric data and photograph. Now, that requirement has been removed. With the new system, you can complete the full voter registration process yourself online.
The Election Commission and the National Identity Card & Registration Department developed this system within a short period, under the facilitation of Prime Minister Sushila Karki. The system was successfully tested on Thursday.
